"If this experimental collaboration between prolific Belgian composer, Lucio Marechal and American songwriter, Jessica Røki Kilroy were a film, it might be described as a twisted vision child between "Un Chien Andalou" and David Lynch's "Twin Peaks". Moments of dreamy jazz interrupted by violent punk phrases melting to cathedral serenity...make for a dark, beautiful and worthwhile sojourn."

Kilroy and Marechal met in 2010 while Jessica was on tour in Belgium. Lucio contacted her years later to translate, arrange and record vocals on some of his compositions. During this process, Dragon Trees was born.

We're honored 5 time Grammy award winning engineer, Ryan Freeland (Ray Lamontagne, Aimee Mann, Bonnie Raitt, Carolina Chocolate Drops) generously took time out of his busy schedule to work his magic on the album. www.ryanfreeland.com
